PPS Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO)

Our Philadelphhia Primary Parent Teacher Organization is a group of parents, teachers and community members who work together to support the many social and academic initiatives found at Philadelphia Primary. PTO assists with our fire safety, curriculum, library and reading challenge events. They coordinate and facilitate fundraisers to raise funds for field trips, family fun day, guest speakers, visiting authors, movie day, and scholarships for our alumni. PTO also provides volunteers to our classrooms during many activities such as holidays, picture day, and library fair.

During our Philly Star recognition days for our students, PTO is found behind the scenes providing all our students T-shirts; awards and medals; box-top trophy; and pizza and ice cream for classrooms that have won building competitions.

Our school community is very lucky to have such an active and supportive group such as the Philly PTO. An invitation is extended to all our parents who may be interested to attend a meeting, join the volunteer list, or oversee a fundraising event. Our PTO usually meets the first Thursday each month at 4:00 p.m. in the elementary cafeteria. Meetings and events can be found on the bulletin board outside of the office or on our school website calendar.

If you have any questions about the PTO, please feel free to contact Philly's Principal, Mr. Kelly, through the elementary office. 315-642-3432.

We hope that you will join us in supporting our kids and the school community.
