Antwerp Primary is one of five primary schools in the Indian River Central School District. We are located in the northern part of the school district and Jefferson County while traveling on State Route 11. Approximately 64% of our students come from military families residing on Fort Drum, NY, with the rest of our students from our local area.
Our curriculum is delivered through the most recent advances in primary level education. This includes the use of a broad range of technologies, a research-based reading program, as well as a wide variety of strategies to accommodate the learning needs of each individual child, whether that be the need of remedial help, or advanced learning opportunities.
An abundance of special services are delivered by certified reading specialists, special education teachers, a school counselor, a school psychologist, a school social worker, and a full-time registered nurse. Even further, teaching assistants and teacher aides provide additional instruction and assistance to augment the instructional program at all grade levels.
